As we strive for sustainable energy, Southeast Asian countries are making impressive strides towards achieving SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy. Here's a snapshot of their remarkable progress:

Renewable Energy Surge: The region has seen a significant surge in renewable energy adoption, with countries like Vietnam and Thailand leading the charge. By 2020, renewable energy made up nearly 21% of the total energy mix in Southeast Asia (source: IRENA).

Solar Power On the Rise: Solar energy is booming! Indonesia, for instance, has witnessed an unprecedented growth rate in solar PV installations, hitting over 1 GW of installed capacity by the end of 2020 (source: IRENA).

Government Initiatives: Policies and initiatives play a crucial role. Malaysia's commitment to increase its renewable energy capacity to 20% by 2025 demonstrates the region's dedication to a greener future (source: The ASEAN Post).

Challenges Ahead: Despite progress, challenges persist, including access to clean energy in rural areas and the need for greater investment in sustainable infrastructure.By harnessing the power of renewable sources, Southeast Asia is taking significant steps toward a more sustainable future!
